Public Works Announces New Infrastructure Projects

The City of Willowbay is delighted to share the launch of several significant public works projects designed to enhance our infrastructure and improve the quality of life for our residents. These projects are part of our ongoing dedication to maintaining and upgrading city facilities.

Street Resurfacing on Maple Avenue: Starting next month, Maple Avenue will undergo resurfacing between 5th and 12th Streets. This necessary work will extend the road's lifespan and ensure a smoother driving experience. The completion is anticipated by February 14, 2025, with minimal disruption to local traffic.

Sidewalk Repairs Around Schools and Parks: To ensure pedestrian safety, we will be conducting sidewalk repairs in priority areas, particularly around schools and parks. The focus will be on replacing damaged sections and improving walkways, with work commencing in early fall. This initiative is part of our commitment to providing safe, accessible pathways for all residents.

Bridge Maintenance on Willow River Bridge: Routine inspections have indicated the need for maintenance on the Willow River Bridge. We will be reinforcing the bridge structure and applying a new coat of paint to prevent rust and ensure its longevity. This critical work will maintain a safe and reliable crossing for years to come.

These projects reflect our commitment to preserving and enhancing the infrastructure that supports our community. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we undertake these improvements to make Willowbay an even better place to live and visit.
